We knew last weekend was coming... our son's fifth birthday party. It is hard to believe our little man is already that old. What we did not expect would be the five other wedding related appointments we scheduled. Three of our brides who booked weddings with us this year wanted to have their walk through to discuss layout and final details. We also had the opportunity to show our venue to two groups of people who were interested in 2020 dates and booked on site. (And two more bookings today!) Phew! We have said from the beginning that 2020 will be our year. With 13 weddings booked already, it is proving to be true.
September 2020 is officially booked and only 2 weekends remain for October (as of 4-16-19). Since we have started, fall seems to be our busy season. With adding heat and air conditioning we can run year round for weddings, parties and corporate events. We are so excited to host a December wedding this year and can't wait to see how beautiful it will look.
How do we balance it all? A WHOLE LOT OF FAITH! Some weeks will go without even an email inquiry and other weeks = tours and bookings galore. We have been so blessed in this business. It feels like every time we book another wedding, we are extending our family. Being we rent out for the whole weekend to just one wedding, (Friday - Sunday) we spent a lot of time with the renter and their families. It has been such a joy getting to know all of you and our kids sure appreciate the dessert you let them have! Both John and I are eager for our 2019 season to begin in less than a month. We consider your wedding to be our "date night" while the kids have a babysitter (and hotdogs, movies and sweets) - so a win win for everyone.
Tips for the future renter:
1. Book early to secure your ideal date.
2. Be sure to schedule a walk-through closer to your wedding to discuss any questions.
3. If it gets too stressful to manage, consider hiring a wedding planner.
Thank you to all of our prior Brides & Grooms and Cheers to another successful season!
